Blue & White Society To Host PS i(Heart) U Week

The Blue and White Society is set to host its annual PS i(heart) U week from Monday, April 8, to Friday, April 12. The week will be jam-packed with a wide range of events to commemorate Penn State traditions and boost school spirit across campus. 

Here is the full slate of events for the week.

Monday, April 8

“Navigating Your Pathway Forward” Event

The Penn State Alumni Association is set to host a graduation event from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Graduating students will have the opportunity to enjoy snacks, get their headshots taken, and network with fellow students and Penn State alumni. 

Blue & White Society General Member Meeting 

Explore the Hintz Family Alumni Center with the Blue and White Society from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8. Learn more about the center and get the chance to win some Penn State gear.

Tuesday, April 9

Card-Making Table

A card-making table will be set up by the Blue and White Society from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, at the HUB. Students will have the opportunity to send positive messages to children undergoing treatment by writing personalized letters. 

Pride March & Reception

From noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, a march will take place beginning in the HUB and ending on the Old Main steps. The march will act to celebrate all LGBTQIA+ community members within and outside the State College community. Following the march, there will be a reception and pride celebration in the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity in the HUB.

Drag Bingo 

The State Queens are set to host drag bingo from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, in the HUB’s Lion Lair Lounge. Participants can enjoy performances from local drag queens and win a variety of prizes throughout the event.

Wednesday, April 10

Old Main Open House

An Old Main Open House event, hosted by the Lion Ambassadors, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, beginning on the Old Main Patio. Students can climb the bell tower and learn more about the extensive history of Old Main.

Paint Night With Blue & White Society 

The Blue and White Society will host a paint night from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Students can take part in a guided painting lesson while learning more about the Blue and White Society. No painting experience is necessary to participate. 

Thursday, April 11

HUB Carnival 

The annual HUB Carnival will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, on HUB Lawn. Students can enjoy inflatable games, free food, and a wide variety of activities hosted by the Blue and White Society. 

Friday, April 12

Capital Day On Campus

A slate of organizations will be at tables from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 12, in the HUB. The event will encourage students to send supportive messages to local leaders to advocate for university funding. Throughout the day, students can take part in giveaways, enjoy Creamery ice cream, and participate in a pep rally. 

In addition to the week’s events, the Blue and White Society will be staffing tables across campus and encouraging students to join the organization and receive a members-exclusive gift bundle.
