Your Guide To Penn State’s 2024 Blue-White Weekend

Football is back, folks.

For the first time in 2024, Penn State football will return to Beaver Stadium for its annual Blue-White Game on Saturday, April 13.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday with parking lots opening at 8 a.m. and gates opening at noon.

While the Blue-White Game is one of the biggest events of the year, it won’t be the only attraction in town over the weekend, as there will be several events for fans to enjoy throughout the weekend.

Additional Penn State Teams In Action

This weekend will be busy not only for James Franklin and his team but for multiple Penn State teams. The men’s volleyball team will host two games against George Mason in Rec Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. At noon on Saturday, men’s lacrosse will host Michigan at Panzer Stadium.

Penn State softball will also play a three-game series against Michigan State throughout the weekend. The series will kick off at 5 p.m. on Friday with additional games at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission to all sporting events will be free.

Beaver Stadium Block Party

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, fans can enjoy free activities such as carnival rides, face painting, caricature drawings, and live music at the Beaver Stadium Block Party. Fans will also have the opportunity to pick up a copy of the 2024 football spring poster while supplies last. The event will take place on Curtin Road between University Drive and Porter Road.

Apparel & Equipment Sale

Starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, fans can go to Pegula Ice Arena to purchase team-issued apparel and equipment such as football helmets, hockey sticks, and more. Fans wishing to shop the equipment sale can enter through Gate A while supplies last.

Beaver Stadium Run For Special Olympics Pennsylvania

To end the weekend, the Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run for Special Olympics Pennsylvania will be held on Sunday, April 14. The run begins near the Bryce Jordan Center on Curtin Road and concludes with runners racing through the Beaver Stadium Tunnel and onto the field at the 50-yard line. Proceeds from the run benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania and the 13,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Folks wishing to register for the event can do so here.

There will be many more events for the Nittany Lion faithful to enjoy throughout the weekend. Additional information and bag policies can be found here.
