Former Penn State Student Accused Of Assault In Dorm Room

A former Penn State student is accused of aggravated indecent assault after assaulting a female in a Penn State dormitory in January 2023.

Kyle Bell, 20, of Havertown, Pennsylvania, walked a female back to his dormitory from the Lions Den where she fell asleep on his bed. The woman awoke to Bell assaulting her despite her saying “no” and “stop,” according to the affidavit.

The woman resisted the assault, but Bell continued to pin her down and “aggressively assault” her for an estimated five to eight minutes, police wrote.

Police gathered “digital evidence, screenshots, records and statements,” and conducted interviews throughout the investigation.

Bell is not listed in the Penn State student directory.

Bell is accused of aggravated assault by forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault without complainant’s consent, and indecent assault.

Bell was arraigned Monday and posted bail, which was set at 5% of $60,000, and his preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday, April 24.
