Former Penn State Football Wide Receiver Malick Meiga Transfers To Coastal Carolina

Former Penn State football wide receiver Malick Meiga announced his commitment to Coastal Carolina Wednesday morning on social media. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Meiga spent four seasons with the Nittany Lions. He joined the program in 2020 but never saw significant playing time. He had nine receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown over 28 appearances. He was also a special teams captain during the 2023 season.

The 6’4,” 203-pound Meiga joined KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Malik McClain, Dante Cephas, and Cristian Driver as the fifth wideout to leave the program this offseason. Julian Fleming is the only receiver who has transferred to Penn State.

The Saint Jerome, Quebec, native entered the transfer portal on April 16. He joined a Chanticleers team that went 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference last season.
