Former Four-Star Penn State Football Running Back Commit Alvin Henderson Flips To Auburn

Class of 2025 four-star commit Alvin Henderson has flipped his commitment to Penn State football Auburn, he announced on Friday.

The Elba, Alabama, native originally committed to the Nittany Lions in April before ultimately leaving for the SEC.

Henderson was the No. 8 running back in the nation and the 113th-ranked player in the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports Composite. The running back was also the top-rated player in the Nittany Lions recruiting class of 2025.

Henderson chose the Nittany Lions over Auburn, Miami, Oregon, and Florida State, but flipped to Auburn even after a recent visit to Penn State at the beginning of June. Henderson was originally expected to go to Auburn, but a push from Penn State brought him to commit to the Nittany Lions. Months later, it seems the Tigers got their revenge.

Prior to Henderson’s decommittment, Penn State boasted the 10th best Recruiting Class of 2025 in the nation, according to 247Sports.
