Three-Star Safety Braswell Thomas Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State football just landed its second commitment in as many days.

Class of 2025 three-star safety Braswell Thomas announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Sunday morning. He chose Penn State over West Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, and others.

The Cape May, New Jersey, native is ranked the No. 36 player in the state and the No. 99 safety, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

The 6’2″, 185-pound Thomas became the fifth defensive back and the second safety, behind fellow three-star Antonio Branch Jr., to join Penn State’s recruiting class ranked 11th in the country. Thomas’ commitment came one day after the Nittany Lions landed four-star running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman.
