Listing All Penn State References In Newest College Football 25 Trailer
The Mo Bamba game is back, folks.
College football is making its grand return to the virtual stage as EA Sports’ College Football 25 is releasing on July 19. On Wednesday, EA Sports released a sights and sounds deep dive for the game, showcasing the attention to detail they’ve put into the game’s atmosphere.
Among the schools showcased, Penn State was one of the most prominent, being referenced multiple times throughout the three-minute trailer.
Here are all the references we spotted:
00:10 – The Penn State Tunnel Walkout
In the intro, we see a glimpse of the iconic Penn State blue as we see the Nittany Lions walking out of the tunnel.
00:40 – The Nittany Lion Opening the Gates
Under the pageantry and traditions section, we see the first reference to Penn State’s beloved Nittany Lion mascot as we see him opening the gates before kickoff.
01:24 – The Nittany Lion Doing Push-Ups on a Board
The Nittany Lion is known for his high energy and nothing encapsulates that more than seeing him doing pushups on a board, even busting out a one-hander in front of the south end zone just for the trailer.
01:56 – Nick Singleton Hyping Up The Crowd After a Touchdown
In the Iconic Atmospheres section of the video, we get our first closeup of a Penn State player as third-year running back Nick Singleton hypes up the crowd with a touchdown celebration.
01:59 – Audio Of “We Are Penn State” Chant
As Kirk Herbstreit narrates, EA Sports made an effort to capture authentic audio and chants from colleges across the country. In the clip, we hear the iconic “We Are Penn State” chant as well as the instrumental to go with it.
02:04 – Callback Iconic ‘Mo Bamba’ Moment
If you’re a college football fan, then you know the moment when Penn State forced Michigan to blow a timeout on its first snap of the game back in 2019, all while singing the viral hit song ‘Mo Bamba’ by Sheck Wes. Since then, the song has become a tradition amongst the Penn State faithful and EA called back on that moment to showcase the game’s immersion.
02:19 – The White Out
Last but certainly not least, EA Sports gave fans another sneak peek of the White Out game. If EA has an emphasis on iconic atmospheres, then we all know that the White Out had to be included in the trailer. We see Beaver Stadium packed to the brim with white shirts, with the blue and white S to signify the iconic S-Zone student section.
