New Video Board & Improved Circulation Among 2024 Beaver Stadium Upgrades

As the 2024 college football season inches closer, improvements to Beaver Stadium are underway.

In a release, Penn State Athletics provided fans with an update on what’s coming. This included the expansion of gates, new video boards, and more concessions.

Gates A and E are being expanded to “improve fan circulation on the field level,” according to the release. Four escalators are also being installed for “vertical circulation on the East side of the stadium.”

Gate F will feature an “open-air space” and additional entry points. More concession options will be available around all three gates. The release features pictures of what they could be, including a bratwurst stand as well as a burgers and beer option.

Meanwhile, the south end zone video board is being replaced by a new one with improved resolution. Bigger ribbon boards are being added across the north and south end zones, and a “super ribbon board” will be added to the top of the south end.

Operational enhancements will be announced before Penn State opens its 2024 home season against Bowling Green on September 7. All gates and ribbon boards will be ready for the season, while escalators and super ribbon boards will be unveiled during the season. Future revitalization phases will occur between the end of the season and summer 2027.
