Center For Performing Arts Announces 2024-25 Event Schedule

The Center for Performing Arts has announced its schedule for the upcoming school year, with appearances ranging from Broadway productions to performances to Grammy-winning artists.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, to members and at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, to the general public.

Tickets will be available online; by calling 814-862-0255; or in person from 10 a.m. to 4.p.m on weekdays at Eisenhower Auditorium (a $4 service fee applies for online sales only).

Here is the full list of events:

September 2024

  • The Movie Mix Festival featuring BJ The Chicago Kid, 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, in Eisenhower Auditorium. The event will feature a variety of artist performances and workshops inside and outside the building.
  • The twelve-man Chanticleer choral ensemble will perform “Sing Joyfully” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26.

October 2024

  • A production of “Tina Turner – The Tina Turner Musical” will be shown at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • Round Room Live and Moonbug Entertainment’s production of “Blippi: Join the Band Tour” will be shown at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • Ailey II Dance Company will host a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, in Eisenhower Auditorium, led by their Artistic Director Francesca Harper.
  • Le Consort will perform the musical “From Naples to London” at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, in Recital Hall.
  • The Eddie Palmieri Salsa Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, in Eisenhower Auditorium. The performance will honor the legendary Palmieri, who is a trailblazer in Latin Music.
  • Ex Machina/Robert Lepage and Cirque Flip Fabrique will be performing an arena wrestling show with “Slam!” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30.

November 2024

  • Musical Artist Sam Barber will be performing a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 7.
  • The Step Afrika! ensemble will be hosting a percussive dance performance called “The Migration: Reflections on Jacob Lawrence” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

December 2024

  • Three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Samara Joy will be hosting a performance of her third annual “A Joyful Holiday” featuring the McLendon Family. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • The Penn State School of Music will feature its popular “Mosaic” performance at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

January 2025

  • Compagnie Herve Koubi will present the “What the Day Owes the Night” dance performance at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • Vocal ensembles from Delaware, Penn State, and regional high schools will come together for “A Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” concert at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 24, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

February 2025

  • Grammy-nominated alto saxophone artist Lakecia Benjamin will host a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, in Eisenhower Auditorium.

March 2025

  • Circa will be performing “Duck Pond” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • Broadway production “Dear Evan Hansen” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, in Eisenhower Auditorium

April 2025

  • The Center for Performing Arts will be hosting a performance of “The Addams Family” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
  • Bang on a Can All-Stars and the Penn State Choir will be performing David Lang’s “Before and After Nature” at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
