Eisenhower Parking Deck Partial Reopening Set For August 5

A year after a sinkhole took the Eisenhower Parking Deck out of commission, the parking garage will partially reopen on Monday, August 5. With the reopening, 670 spots will become available and the next 300 are expected to open up before September.

Beginning Monday, all summer supplementary passes given to Yellow F pass owners will expire. Access to East Deck, Yellow H, and Lot 42 will no longer be available for those with a Yellow F pass.

While the rest of the parking garage is restored, three lots will be designated as overflow parking for separate periods. From Monday, August 5, to Sunday, August 18, Lot 81 will serve as overflow parking, followed by the Orange and Commuter lots from Monday, August 19, to Sunday, August 25, before Yellow F from Monday, August 26, for as long as necessary.

In addition to the parking deck’s reopening, the Transportation Services Office at Eisenhower Deck will also reopen Monday. Additionally, the Eisenhower Visitor lot between the Eisenhower Deck and Eisenhower Auditorium will reopen, and the reserved spaces for University Pharmacy use will return to their previous temporary location.
