Report: Adrian Amos Released By Jacksonville Jaguars

Former Penn State football safety Adrian Amos has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Amos signed with the Jaguars earlier this month, but contract details weren’t released.

Amos played for Penn State from 2011-14 and was a huge contributor for the Nittany Lions. During that time, he recorded 149 tackles, seven interceptions, and three sacks. He was a three-time All-Big Ten honorable mention.

After college, Amos entered the 2015 NFL Draft and was selected in the fifth round by the Chicago Bears. He played for four seasons, earning an NFL All-Rookie selection, before joining the Green Bay Packers in 2019.

Amos spent four seasons with the Packers before splitting the 2023-24 season with the New York Jets for 11 games and with the Houston Texans for five games.

During his nine seasons in the NFL, Amos has recorded 664 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 49 passes defended, 10 interceptions, nine quarterback hits, six sacks, six forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
