Penn State Athletics Announces Updates To Beaver Stadium For 2024 Season

Beaver Stadium will have a number of gameday improvements this season as part of the first phase of the Beaver Stadium Revitalization Project, according to a release.

Along with the winterization of the stadium, there will be 50 new concession points of sale and 80 new walk-up self-service non-alcoholic beverage units as well as improved restrooms for the 2024 season.

The biggest change for this season is the expanded upper concourse of Gates A and E. The gates, located in the southeast and northeast corners of the stadium, respectively, will improve fan circulation by adding a combined 15,050 square feet of concourse space.

Gates A and E will each have two new elevators, but they won’t be operational until the game against Illinois on September 28.

The expanded concourses will feature more concession points of sale, grab-and-go options, and restrooms.

Gate F also underwent an expansion that created a 34,000-square-foot lounge where folks can enjoy food and drink options. The expansion will also add 20 more points of ticket scanning and security along with additional concession points of sale.

Inside the stadium, a new WiFi network called “PSU Fan” will deliver increased access around the concourse.

The video boards inside the stadium were also upgraded as part of phase one of the project. The south video board has been replaced with a board with improved resolution, and the ribbon boards on the south and north ends of the stadium have increased in size.

Additional “super ribbon boards,” flanking the south end video board have also been installed, although they won’t be operational until Penn State plays Ohio State on November 2.

Mobile ticketing will continue to be the preferred delivery method for Beaver Stadium during the upcoming season. Entry processes will remain the same except at gates E and F, where folks will scan their tickets before walking through the magnetometers.
