Penn State Football Opens As 35-Point Favorite Over Bowling Green

After handling West Virginia amid a lengthy weather delay in the first game of the season, the Penn State football is back in the newly-renovated Beaver Stadium this weekend to take on Bowling Green on Saturday, September 7.

This weekend’s matchup is the start of a four-game home stint for the blue and white.

In the contest against the Mountaineers, Penn State successfully covered the 7.5-point spread, and you can blame Mother Nature for the game not reaching the over on points.

Against Bowling Green, the opening line has been set at -35 points for the Nittany Lions with the over/under listed at 49 points, according to DraftKings. At this moment, it’s worth noting that the sportsbook is not currently accepting any bets on the moneyline for the game or the outright winner.

In their last contest, the Falcons scored 41 points against Fordham but failed to cover the spread or achieve the over in their first game of the season. Last season, Penn State covered the spread all against nine opponents but missed out on Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, and Ole Miss.
