Penn State Football Remains No. 8 In AP Poll

Penn State football was ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Poll, the Associated Press announced Sunday. The Nittany Lions’ ranking remains unchanged after its 34-12 victory over West Virginia on Saturday.

The win wasn’t enough to warrant a rise in the poll as the seven teams ranked ahead of Penn State won their respective matchups. The top seven teams consist of Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame.

West Virginia, who had received 17 votes ahead of Saturday’s game, received two in the week two poll.

The Nittany Lions host Bowling Green at noon on Saturday, September 7. The game will air on the Big Ten Network.
