Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Seven

It was another great Saturday in college football.

Penn State football beat USC in a 33-30 classic in Los Angeles. Some transfers, like A.J. Harris and Julian Fleming, made an impact in the Nittany Lions’ win over the Trojans.

Plenty of other transfers who left Penn State football had important performances, too. Here’s how they fared over the weekend.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn

Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith continued his impressive season at Auburn. In the Tigers’ 34-13 loss to No. 4 Georgia, Lambert-Smith had seven catches for 95 yards. His longest was a 23-yard catch.

Jordan van den Berg, Georgia Tech

A week after recording his first sack of the season, defensive lineman Jordan van den Berg had three total tackles and a fumble recovery in Georgia Tech’s 41-34 win over North Carolina.

King Mack, Alabama

Safety King Mack got some more playing time for Alabama on Saturday. In a nail-biter 27-25 win over South Carolina, Mack recorded two tackles. The sophomore safety has four total tackles this season.

Christian Veilluex, Georgia State

It’s been an up-and-down season for quarterback Christian Veilluex so far. After throwing three interceptions last week, the junior quarterback struggled again in Georgia State’s 21-14 loss to Old Dominion.

Veillux completed just 55% of his passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He was also sacked twice and had three carries for -21 yards.

Devyn Ford, Notre Dame

Running back Devyn Ford returned to the field for Notre Dame. After not playing since late September, Ford had three rushes for 20 yards in the Fighting Irish’s 49-7 blowout win over Stanford.

Ta’Quan Roberson, Kansas State

Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson made his second-ever appearance in a Kansas State uniform in the Wildcats’ 31-28 win over Colorado.

Kansas State starting quarterback Avery Johnson temporarily left the game with an injury and in his absence, Roberson went 2-for-3 on passing with 14 yards.

Jaden Dottin, Toledo

Wide receiver Jaden Dottin put together back-to-back strong games for Toledo. Last week, he had three catches for 46 yards. This week, he tallied three more receptions for 56 yards, including a 41-yard grab, in the Rockets’ 30-15 loss to Buffalo.

Dante Cephas, Kansas State

Like Roberson, wide receiver Dante Cephas also saw some playing time for Kansas State. Cephas had two grabs for 16 yards. He now has three catches for 25 yards this season.
