Three Penn State Football Players Named Senior Bowl Midseason All-Americans

Penn State football tight end Tyler Warren, running back Nick Singleton, and safety Jaylen Reed were named midseason All-Americans by the Reese’s Senior Bowl Wednesday.

Singleton joined Boise State Heisman Trophy candidate Ashton Jeanty as the two running backs on the list. Singleton has 434 rushing yards and three touchdowns over 63 carries, and he also has 113 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Warren, the lone tight end on the list, has 40 catches for 513 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He had a career-high 224 receiving yards in last week’s 33-30 overtime win at USC. Warren also has one rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown.

Reed has a team-high 39 tackles, including three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He recorded his first interception of the season in the fourth quarter against the Trojans. The Detroit, Michigan, native also has two pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and a quarterback hurry.

The trio joined Joshua Simmons (Ohio State), Seth McLaughlin (Ohio State), Ty Hamilton (Ohio State), Josaiah Steward (Michigan), and Will Johnson (Michigan) as Big Ten players named midseason All-Americans.
