Abdul Carter Named Quarterfinalist For 2024 Lott IMPACT Trophy
Penn State football defensive end Abdul Carter has been named a quarterfinalist for the 2024 Ronnie Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The trophy is awarded annually to a player who exemplifies the characteristics of Hall of Fame safety Ronnie Lott. The award honors individuals who demonstrate integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community, and tenacity.
The Nittany Lion defensive end has been a key contributor to undefeated Penn State. Carter has amassed 27 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble thus far in the 2024 season.
Carter was joined by the likes of Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Michigan’s Will Johnson, Ohio State’s Caleb Downs, and more. Last year’s trophy went to Michigan’s Junior Colson.
Semifinalists will be announced in late November, and finalists will be invited to the annual award show on December 9, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is one of four defensive linemen nominated for this prestigious honor.
