Glee Club To Host Events Celebrating 135th Anniversary
Penn State’s oldest student organization, Glee Club, is reuniting to celebrate its 135th anniversary on the weekend of October 25 and invites all Glee Club alumni and their families to join.
The Glee Club, directed by Dr. Christopher Kiver, will also celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Hi-Lo’s, its acapella subsect.
Three days of festivities for the ensemble will begin with a welcome gathering at 7 p.m. in Rehearsal Hall on Friday, October 25, followed by a reunion concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, at Eisenhower Auditorium.
The concert will feature performances from the current Glee Club and over 70 returning alumni from the choir and its acapella branch, the Hi-Lo’s. After the show, alumni and families can gather again in Rehearsal Hall for a reception.
The total event cost is $100 per person, which includes every activity from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Folks can purchase a concert ticket alone for $12.50 through Ticketmaster.
