Penn State Things To Wish For On 11/11

11/11, make a wish!

That’s how the saying goes, and we here at Onward State are one to follow that advice. From the seats of Beaver Stadium to the walls of school buildings, there are all things that we’d like to see at Penn State.

Here’s our list of Penn State things to wish for on November 11.

Keep Bringing A-List Stars To The BJC

The Bryce Jordan Center has a long history of bringing superstars to State College, and this year was no different. In 2024, Penn State brought Travis Scott, Drake, and Kacey Musgraves to the BJC.

If you’re a music lover, a concertgoer, or just your average Penn Stater, this wish is definitely something to consider.

A Win Over Ohio State & Michigan

We all suspected this was coming.

Penn State football hasn’t beaten Michigan since 2020 and Ohio State since 2016. The worst part about these losses is that the Nittany Lions have been so close in nearly every contest. Maybe a wish is the divine intervention we need to finally push us over the edge.

More Flexible Hours For HUB Restaurants

The HUB has a wide variety of restaurants. The disappointing part is that half of them close before dinner time. Keeping the HUB dining options open for a few more hours each day would satisfy plenty of folks and would be a wish well spent in our books.

The Return Of Downtown Favorites

Over the last couple of years, there have been some beloved shops and restaurants downtown that we’ve had to say goodbye to. Whether it was H&M, Sheetz, or Are U Hungry, we all would use a wish to bring one of these stores back from the dead and into our hearts once again.

Fall Break

This may be a mixed topic among the common Penn State students, but a fall break would be nice. Not to be confused with our Thanksgiving break, a fall break is typically days in October when schools have off. It’d be a much-needed rest from the craziness of the semester and a good wish!
