Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 11

Week 11 of the college football season saw Penn State football bounce back from its crushing loss to Ohio State with a dominating 35-6 victory over Washington in the signature White Out game. While the Nittany Lions were dazzling the crowd under the lights of Beaver Stadium, many former Penn State players had great performances of their own.

Let’s see how these former Penn State players held up in their Week 11 games.

King Mack, Alabama

Defensive back King Mack recorded two tackles in Alabama’s 42-13 blowout road victory against No. 15 LSU. Mack has recorded two tackles in four consecutive games, dating back to the Crimson Tide’s 27-25 victory over South Carolina on October 12.

London Montgomery, Eastern Carolina

Running back London Montgomery had four rushes for 29 yards in Eastern Carolina’s 49-14 rout of Florida Atlantic. Montgomery also hauled in one catch for 10 yards in the victory.

Jordan Van Den Berg, Georgia Tech

Defensive lineman Jordan van den Berg recovered a fumble that effectively sealed Georgia Tech’s massive 28-23 upset victory over then-No. 4 Miami. This marked van den Berg’s second fumble recovery in his last three games.

Alex Bacchetta, Rice

Punter Alex Bacchetta recorded three punts for 114 yards in Rice’s 27-20 loss against Memphis. Bacchetta’s longest punt came in the second quarter when he landed a 41-yard punt on Memphis’ 26-yard line.
