Bo Nickal Calls For UFC Event Held At Bryce Jordan Center

Former Penn State wrestler and UFC fighter Bo Nickal said he would love to see a UFC event held at the Bryce Jordan Center after his UFC fight on Saturday and believes it’s a realistic possibility.

“The way I see it happening that I think would be the coolest is if we have a Penn State vs. Iowa, Penn State vs. Ohio State [wrestling] match on a Friday, run it right back the next day, Saturday, with the UFC,” Nickal said.

A Penn State wrestler from 2014 to 2019, Nickal won three national championships as a Nittany Lion and won the Hodge Trophy as a senior. That success led to Nickal gaining a large fanbase in Happy Valley, which has translated to his professional career.

“I guarantee you, I myself will sell out 17,000 tickets. I don’t even need an undercard. That’s the type of pull in State College that I have,” Nickal said.

Nickal, a middleweight fighter, is 7-0-0 in the UFC with his most recent win coming over Paul Craig via unanimous decision.
