Nick Kern Jr.’s Windmill Dunk Lands At No. 5 On SportsCenter Top 10

Penn State basketball is not only putting the nation on notice by receiving four points in the latest men’s college basketball AP Poll, but also by creating some highlight-reel plays.

In Wednesday night’s win against Purdue Fort Wayne, senior guard Nick Kern Jr. poked the ball away on defense, took it the other way, and hit a windmill dunk to put the exclamation point on Penn State’s big second half. The dunk ended up at No. 5 on the SportsCenter Top 10.

Kern ended his night with a solid 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals off the bench. He went 5-for-6 from the field and scored 13 of 22 bench points on the night.

Kern is no stranger to SportsCenter’s Top 10. He made the list at No. 2 last season with a huge dunk in Penn State’s close loss to Texas A&M in the ESPN Events Invitational.

Kern and the Nittany Lions next head to Daytona Beach, Florida, to take on Fordham at 4 p.m. on November 25. The game is a part of the Sunshine Slam and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
