Alonzo Ford Jr. Suffers Long-Term Injury

Defensive tackle Alonzo Ford Jr. suffered a long-term injury against Minnesota, James Franklin announced at his press conference on Monday.

The tackle was injured in the first half of Penn State’s 26-25 win over Minnesota and later returned to the sideline in street clothes.

After missing the entire 2023 season due to an injury, Ford has appeared in every game this season behind starters Coziah Izzard and Zane Durant. Ford registered 16 total tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss before suffering his injury.

Before transferring to Penn State, Ford spent two years with Old Dominion, where he appeared in 25 games over two seasons.

Offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh also left the game against Minnesota with an injury that was announced as long-term at Franklin’s Monday press conference.
