What Dish Would Iconic Penn Staters Bring to Thanksgiving?

Ah, Thanksgiving: a time to gather with family, friends, and fellow Penn Staters to enjoy great food and good company. As the holiday approaches, it’s hard not to daydream about the mouthwatering food on the dinner table.

This year, we took it a step further and imagined what dishes iconic Penn Staters might bring to the holiday table. Building off of last year’s post where we explored similar ideas, we’ve expanded the list with even more Penn State legends and their potential contributions to the feast.

Drew Allar: Turkey

Whether you’re a fan or not, you can’t have Thanksgiving without turkey. At the end of the day, it’s still the star of the show — just like Drew Allar.

Tyler Warren: Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a reliable classic that never fails to impress, much like Tyler Warren. Also, with the help from Allar, they could make a mean gravy to add on top.

Ryan Barker: Mac & Cheese

Mac and cheese is that dish you didn’t realize you needed, but the moment it showed up, it showed out.

Willard Preacher: Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is a love-it-or-hate-it kind of dish, depending on who you ask. It’s definitely a bold item to have at Thanksgiving, just as we’d imagine the Willard Preacher to be.

Carter Starocci: Honey-Glazed Ham

By bringing honey-glazed ham, our national champion Carter Starocci isn’t here to mess with weak sides. He’s rolling up with the main show-stopper. And the bonus? It’s packed with protein.

Blue Sapphire: Apple Pie

Apple pie is sweet and elegant, just like the Blue Sapphire. She also seems like she would whip up a good dessert that would impress just about anyone.
