Penn State Women’s Hockey Remains No. 12 In USCHO Rankings

For the 10th week in a row, Penn State women’s hockey remained ranked No. 12 in the USCHO Poll.

After concluding the Smashville Nashville Women’s Collegiate Hockey Showcase with a 1-1 tie against St. Thomas, Penn State is 13-4 and remained undefeated in the AHA, sitting at a 6-0 record. The team won the shootout against St. Thomas 1-0.

Captain Tessa Janecke had a milestone weekend, scoring her 50th goal in the loss against Merrimack in the opening game of the tournament. She was also responsible for the only goal in the game. The assist went to Leah Stecker.

Katie DeSa saved 22 of 24 shots that came her way against Merrimack and allowed one goal against St. Thomas.

The Nittany Lions will travel to play Mercyhurst at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 6.
