Transfer Portal Roundup: Week 14

In week 14, Penn State football secured its ticket to the Big Ten Championship with a 44-7 blowout over Maryland. While the Nittany Lions had a game to remember, many former Penn State players were making their mark during an intense rivalry week.

Let’s check in on how these student-athletes performed.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn

Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith had a great showing in Auburn’s 28-14 loss to Alabama. Lambert-Smith had eight catches for 116 receiving yards, marking his third straight game with 100 or more receiving yards.

Jordan Van Den Berg, Georgia Tech

Defensive lineman Jordan van den Berg racked up four tackles in Georgia Tech’s heartbreaking 44-42 loss to Georgia in eight overtimes. Van den Berg’s four tackles tied a personal season-high for single-game tackles.

Alex Bacchetta, Rice

Punter Alex Bacchetta recorded two punts that amassed 89 yards in Rice’s 35-28 victory over USF. Bachetta recorded a punt that traveled 46 yards, a mark well above his average punt distance of 41.5 yards.

London Montgomery, East Carolina

Running back London Montgomery ran for 37 yards on six attempts in East Carolina’s 34-20 loss to Navy. Montgomery’s 6.2 yards per carry was above his season average of 5.4 yards per carry.

Ta’Quan Roberson, Kansas State

Ta’Quan Roberson did not see much action in Kansas State’s 29-21 loss to Iowa State as he threw one pass that fell incomplete.
