Three Penn State Football Players Earn Offensive All-Big Ten Honors

Three Penn State football players, Tyler Warren, Sal Wormley, and Vega Ioane, were named to offensive All-Big Ten teams on Tuesday. The trio joined several players from Penn State’s defense honored as all-conference selections.

Warren was named a First Team All-Big Ten selection after hauling in 81 receptions for 978 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns on the season. The star tight end was also named the Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year. Warren has been named a finalist for the Mackey Award and the Paul Hornung Award and a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

Ioane earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors. The sophomore offensive lineman has played an integral part in the run game and in keeping quarterback Drew Allar out of harm’s way during the season. Ioane has gained some respect in Penn State’s run game as he’s sometimes put in motion from the slot position before pulling across the line to block.

Wormley was the second Penn State offensive lineman to earn an All-Big Ten selection this season. The redshirt senior was named Third Team All-Big Ten. The three-year starter has been a consistent piece on the offensive line during his time with the team.

Drew Allar, Nick Singleton, Drew Shelton, and Anthony Donkoh were named All-Big Ten honorable mentions by coaches and media.

The Nittany Lions next take the field at 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, to take on Oregon in the Big Ten Championship.
