Abdul Carter & Tyler Warren Named Senior Bowl All-Americans

Penn State football’s Abdul Carter and Tyler Warren have been named Reese’s Senior Bowl All-Americans, the bowl game announced Saturday.

Carter was named the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year, and to the All-Big Ten first team on Tuesday. Warren was named the Big Ten’s Tight End of the Year and to the All-Big Ten first team. He is also a Mackey Award finalist.

Carter is having his best season, statistically, of his three-year career at Penn State. He has 54 total tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, three pass breakups, and his 19.5 tackles for loss are third-most in the country.

Like Carter, Warren is also having his best season as a Nittany Lion. He leads the team in receiving with 81 catches, 981 yards, and six touchdowns. Warren’s receiving yards are second-most among all tight ends this season and 23rd-most in all of college football.

Carter was joined by Oregon’s Jordan Burch and Michigan’s Will Johnson on the defensive side, and Warren was joined by Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson on the offensive side.
