Beaver Stadium Announces Operating Procedures Ahead Of College Football Playoff

Beaver Stadium announced its operating procedures ahead of Penn State football’s tilt against SMU in the first round of the College Football Playoff at noon on Saturday.

As per usual, Penn State’s team entrance will be preceded by the team’s intro video and fireworks when the Nittany Lions take the field. All in-stadium music and sound effects will remain in Penn State’s control.

Additionally, all typical Beaver Stadium traditions and fan engagements will remain the same, “from the time parking lots open through the final whistle.”

However, the College Football Playoff does have some control. SMU’s intro video is required to run on the video boards before the game. Its band will be in attendance, and will be seated in the north upper deck and play at halftime. Typically, opposing bands sit in the lower level of the north end zone.

Meanwhile, the College Football Playoff will be required to run its own videos on the video board, while no sponsorships are permitted to run at any point.
