Saquon Barkley Named To AP NFL All-Pro First Team

Was there ever any doubt?

Former Penn State football and current Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was named to the Associated Press (AP) NFL All-Pro First Team on Friday. This marked the first time Barkley received this honor.

The recognition came after a historic season where Barkley became the ninth player to rush for 2,000 yards in an NFL season. On the season, Barkley ran for 2,005 yards on 345 attempts, leading the league in both categories.

Barkley broke several records during the year, including the Eagles’ franchise record for most rushing yards in a season and the franchise record for most yards in a single game when he ran for 255 yards against the Los Angeles Rams back in November.

Barkley and the Eagles are now looking towards the playoffs where they host the Green Bay Packers for their Wild Card round matchup at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 12.
