Penn State safety Jaylen Reed has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The senior was given unanimous All-Big Ten honors for his performance during the 2024 season.

Reed began his career with the blue and white in 2021, appearing in eight games and making six tackles. Reed became a starter during the 2023 season and notched 46 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions.

The safety finished his career in 2024 with 98 tackles, three interceptions, and a defensive touchdown. Reed is projected to be a day-two pick in this year’s draft.

Reed joins safety KJ Winston and cornerback Jalen Kimber as Nittany Lions in the secondary who have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. With the departure of Reed and Winston, the safety room will utilize King Mack, who transferred into the program on Sunday, and Zakee Wheatley.
