Ryan Jones Named Interim CEO Of Penn State Alumni Association

Following the departure of Paul J. Clifford, Ryan Jones will be the interim chief executive officer of the Penn State Alumni Association, the organization’s president, Anand Ganjam, wrote in an email to members of the Alumni Council.

“The process to intentify our interim leader was robust and inclusive, with strong involvement from myself as well as PSAA Vice President Susan Robinson, Division of Development & Alumni Relations (DDAR) leadership, and university-wide leadership,” Ganjam wrote in an email. “On behalf of our PSAA pfficers, we are thrilled to put our full support for Ryan as he steps forward to lead us during this transition period.”

Jones, who earned a journalism degree from Penn State in 1995, serves as the editor of the Penn Stater Magazine in October 2018 after holding previously roles with the outlet as senior editor 2007 to 2016 and deputy editor from 2016 to 2018.

Jones previously worked as the as the editor-in-chief of Slam Magazine, a world-renowned basketball magazine, and spent time working with The Citizens’ Voice of Wilkes-Barre and The Record of Hackensack, New Jersey.
