Report: Former Penn State Quarterback Billy Fessler Expected To Be Named Ohio State Quarterbacks Coach

Former Penn State football quarterback Billy Fessler is expected to be named the quarterbacks coach for Ohio State, per Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. Fessler played for Penn State from 2014 to 2017, appearing in all 13 games in his redshirt junior season.

This decision comes as a promotion for Fessler as he served as an offensive analyst at Ohio State during the 2024 season. Kessler briefly served as the quarterback coach for UCLA in 2024 before following Chip Kelly to Ohio State and previously served as the quarterback coach for Akron in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Fessler was given Penn State’s Outstanding Run-On Award after the 2017 season. He finished his career with two pass attempts with one completion for 8 yards.
