Rutgers Hires Former Penn State Football Defensive Analyst Vic Hall As Safeties Coach

Former Penn State football defensive analyst Vic Hall has been hired as Rutgers’ safeties coach, Rutgers announced Thursday.

Hall spent the last season as a defensive analyst for Penn State football, focusing on the cornerback position. Hall joins former Penn State offensive analyst and current Rutgers co-defensive coordinator Robb Smith after Smith was hired earlier in the month.

Hall previously spent three seasons at Ball State, cycling through numerous roles for the staff such as defensive back coach and passing game coordinator. Hall also has coaching experience as a staff member for Howard, Hampton, and Western Illinois.
