Lights Out By 8 Rocks The Bryce Jordan Center At THON 2025

DMV-area band Lights Out By 8 rocked the Bryce Jordan Center for nearly an hour early Saturday morning.

After introducing themselves, the group started with Blink-182’s “All The Small Things.” From there, the crowd got to dancing, making noise, and didn’t stop.

Among the first five songs were “Animals” by Neon Trees and, of course, breakout star Chappell Roan’s hit “Hot To Go.” As soon as the band started playing the latter, the crowd erupted and blurted out the lyrics from start to finish.

From there, the vibes remained upbeat as Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” Smash Mouth’s “All Star,” and The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” were played.

Three songs later, things took another positive turn. After “Your Love” by The Outfield was performed, the crowd really got going when “Seven Nation Army” started. As soon as the first guitar note sounded, the entire Bryce Jordan Center was doing the well-known chant along with the lyrics.

Two songs later, Lights Out By 8 closed its act with a rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.” The group thanked Penn State, and off into the night they went after a 16-song setlist spanning nearly one hour.
