Penn State Men’s Hockey Rises To No. 15 In Latest USCHO Poll

Look out, folks, Penn State men’s hockey is just getting hotter.

The Nittany Lions rose three spots in the latest USCHO poll after going undefeated against No. 1 Michigan State over the weekend.

The Nittany Lions traveled to East Lansing to face the Spartans for a two-game series starting on Friday. In the first game, Penn State tied with Michigan State 2-2 before winning a penalty shootout 2-1.

On Saturday, the Nittany Lions got out to a commanding 3-0 halftime lead with goals from Aiden Fink, Charlie Cerrato, and JJ Weibusch. They won the game 3-2, making for a huge statement win.

Penn State is 9-1-2 over its last 12 games, with an unbeaten streak of six games. The Nittany Lions’ record is 17-11-4 as they prepare for the Big Ten tournament.

Penn State’s final two games of the season will be at home against Minnesota in a two-game series starting Friday, February 28. Friday’s game will be a Wear White game and Saturday’s game will be Senior Day.
