Report: Matt McGloin Hired As Offensive Analyst At Boston College

Former Penn State football quarterback Matt McGloin has been hired as an offensive analyst at Boston College, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
McGloin most recently served on the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners after being elected in 2023.
McGloin came to Happy Valley in 2009 before redshirting his freshman season. McGloin battled for the starting spot in 2010 and split the starting role with Rob Bolden in 2011. He was the primary signal caller during the 2012 season, which served as Bill O’Brien’s first year as head coach.
From there, McGloin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Las Vegas Raiders, where he spent four years in the backup job. He signed with the Eagles, Texans, and Chiefs before going to the New York Guardians of the XFL in 2019.
McGloin heads to Boston College to join former Penn State head coach O’Brien, who was named head coach of the Golden Eagles in February 2024.
