Former Penn State Football Linebacker Curtis Jacobs Signs WIth Tennessee Titans

Former Penn State football linebacker Curtis Jacobs signed with the Tennessee Titans on Monday afternoon, per NFL insider Tom Pelissero.

Jacobs was recently released by the New England Patriots on Friday after spending just one season with the team. The 23-year-old linebacker appeared in nine games with the Patriots and totaled four total tackles.

The Glen Burnie, Maryland, native went undrafted following four years with the Nittany Lions and was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2024.

He spent the entire offseason with Kansas City but did not make the team’s 53-man roster and was waived in late August. Jacobs was signed the next day following his release by the Patriots and remained on the team’s roster for the entire 2024 season.

The former Penn State linebacker made his NFL debut during week three of the NFL’s regular season when the New England Patriots faced the New York Jets. His first defensive snaps came against the San Francisco 49ers in week four.

Jacob dealt with an injury in his first season being placed on the Patriots’ injured reserve in November due to a concussion and was designated to return in late December.
