Former Penn State Hoops Guard Kanye Clary Enters Transfer Portal

Former Penn State men’s basketball guard Kanye Clary has entered the transfer portal for the second time in his collegiate career, per Rivals.

Clary spent the last season at Mississippi State and averaged 6.3 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 rebounds in seven games.

Clary spent two seasons with the Nittany Lions where he averaged 16.7 points, shot 46.2% from the field, and 37.7% in his final season with the program. Clary was dismissed from the program by head coach Mike Rhoades in February 2024 due to a “coach’s decision.”

In his freshman year at Penn State during the 2022-23 season, Clary averaged 3.7 points per game and shot 43.4% from the field, and 29.4% from outside the arc.

Don’t expect a return to Happy Valley for Clary, though. He filed a lawsuit against Rhoades and Penn State, citing he was the victim of intimidation, retaliation, slander, and the illegal use of his name, image, and likeness.
