Brainstorming Ways To Blow Your Meal Plan

Dear freshmen, sophomores, or any other unlikely student with an overwhelming balance left on your meal plan,

Stress no further, and don’t worry about doing the math to figure out your daily spending budget. If you’ve found yourself trying not to let your extra meal plan money go to waste, we’re here to help.

Here are some ways to spend your abundance of dining dollars in the home stretch of the semester.

Eat A Day’s Worth Of Meals In The HUB

A morning smoothie at Tropical Smoothie Cafe, lunch at McAllister’s, pizza at Sbarro, and dessert at Cow & Cookie. This food schedule is bound to drain your meal plan.

Treat Your Friends To A Pollock Buffet-Style Dinner

Mediocre Good food and good company are hard to beat.

Show your roommates, classmates, or friends some appreciation and treat them to a meal at Pollock!

Take A Trip To The Nearest Market

Utilize the East, South, North, West, and Pollock markets by stocking up on anything from packs of water bottles to a bounty of red Solo cups.

Stop By A Starbucks Or Saxby’s

It’s nearing the end of the semester… You deserve to start every morning with a coffee loaded with every extra topping imaginable (cue the cold foam).

Look Forward To 2 p.m. On April 26

If you think your money will go to waste, the Blue-White Game is a golden opportunity to drop a penny on some overpriced (but totally worth it) concession food. Buy a chicken basket.

Or two.

Or five.

Indulge In Your Sweet Treat Desires

Craving ice cream? Forget about going to the dining hall for a cheap scoop. Instead, go to Berkey Creamery, where $9 will be well spent.
