[Photo Story] Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Trip To The Frozen Four

Penn State men’s hockey made it to the Frozen Four for the first time in program history on the heels of a massive late-season charge.

Despite the loss 3-1 to Boston University, it was a huge accomplishment for Penn State, and our photographers were there to capture it all.

The team arrived around 5:20 p.m. at the blue carpet before walking into the Enterprise Center.

Although the game was in St. Louis, Missouri, the Penn State fans still showed up to cheer on the team.

The team started warming up right away before taking the ice to compete to try and make it to the championship.

Both teams started strong, trying to get the first goal of the game. Penn State fell short as Boston University scored twice in a row.

Finally, Nick DeGraves got a rebound and scored, cutting the Penn State deficit to 2-1.

Penn State pulled Arsenii Sergeev from the net in hopes of getting a goal with an extra skater on offense, but Boston University scored on the open net to make it 3-1.

Despite Boston University ending Penn State’s season, the team still sang with the fans.
