Dave Robinson & Steve Wisniewski To Announce Selections At 2025 NFL Draft

Two Penn State football alumni will join the excitement on day two of the 2025 NFL Draft. Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Dave Robinson will announce a pick for the Green Bay Packers, while eight-time Pro Bowler Steve Wisniewski will announce a selection for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Robinson attended Penn State from 1960 to 1962 where he lined up at offensive lineman and defensive end under head coach Rip Engle and then-assistant coach Joe Paterno.

As a two-way player, Robinson contributed to a 24-8 record in his two seasons in Happy Valley. He earned MVP honors for his play in the 1962 Gator Bowl, even though Penn State fell to Florida by a score of 17-7. Robinson also played a pivotal role in the 1960 Liberty Bowl victory over Oregon and the 1961 Gator Bowl win over Georgia Tech.

The Hall of Famer played middle linebacker for the Packers from 1963 to 1972, an integral piece in Vince Lombardi’s championship defenses. Robinson was selected in the first round of the 1963 NFL Draft with the No. 14 overall selection. Robinson also played for Washington for one season before retiring in 1974.

Wisniewski played for the blue and white from 1985 to 1988. He earned two All-American selections and started at guard in the 1986 national championship. “The Wiz” was also selected as a team captain and named team MVP during the 1988 season.

As one of the most dominant interior offensive lineman of his era, he spent his entire 13-year career donning the silver and black. Wisniewski was selected to the NFL’s 1990s All-Decade Team and has deep ties within the organization.

His nephew, Stefan Wisniewski, was a part of the 2008 Big Ten Championship as a guard for the Nittany Lions. He was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He went on to win two Super Bowls as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The NFL draft will begin at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, and end on Saturday, April 26, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. All seven rounds will be televised on ESPN and the NFL Network.
