Coziah Izzard Signs Three-Year Deal With Kansas City Chiefs

Penn State football defensive tackle Coziah Izzard has signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, his agent told Onward State. Izzard’s deal is worth $2,655,000 with $225,000 guaranteed.

During his time in Happy Valley, Izzard appeared in 51 games and started seven in his freshman campaign. He finished with 78 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and two forced fumbles.

His best season came during the 2021 season when Izzard started in seven games. The Columbia, Maryland native posted 21 tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and forced a fumble for the Nittany Lions.

Izzard was subject to a rather congested defensive line room throughout his tenure under James Franklin. He has played in d-line rooms with Abdul Carter, Chop Robinson, PJ Mustipher, Dvon J-Thomas, and Dani Dennis-Sutton.

The longtime Penn State defensive tackle had a strong pro day in March. Measuring in at 6’3″ and 305 pounds, Izzard ran a 4.81 40-yard dash, which would have ranked him as the fastest defensive tackle at the NFL Combine.
