Four-Star Wide Receiver Trebor Pena Transfers To Penn State Football

Former Syracuse wide receiver Trebor Pena has committed to Penn State football out of the transfer portal, he told On3 on Saturday. Pena is the Nittany Lions’ first addition in the spring portal window.
As a high school prospect, Pena was rated as the No. 102 athlete in the country, the No. 31 player in New Jersey, and the No. 1434 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The redshirt senior is a native of Ocean Township, New Jersey. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
While at Syracuse, Pena had two “freshmen years” due to the COVID-19 redshirt. In his first two seasons, he played in 14 games, mainly on special teams, where he was ranked second nationally in combined kick return yardage before he was benched.
In his sophomore year, he played a more prominent role in the offense and recorded 22 receptions for 203 yards in 11 games. The following season, Pena was sidelined due to an injury and had to redshirt. In his redshirt junior year, Pena took off.
In 2024, Pena led the team with 84 receptions and 941 yards with nine touchdowns. He was named second-team All-ACC for his efforts.
Pena is the third starting wide receiver the Nittany Lions have picked up this offseason, joining Kyron Hudson from USC and Devonte Ross from Troy.
