Penn State Baseball & Softball Adjust Schedules, Will Play Doubleheaders Friday

Due to projected inclement weather in Happy Valley this weekend, both Penn State baseball and softball have adjusted their weekend schedules to each play two of the three games on Friday, May 2.

The baseball team’s weekend series against Big Ten rival Maryland will now begin with a conventional doubleheader, beginning at 4 p.m. The final game of the series will be played either Saturday or Sunday at a time to be determined, as the weather forecast is bleak for both days.

The softball team faces off against Washington for the first time since it joined the Big Ten. That series will also begin with a conventional doubleheader that begins at 4 p.m., but their series finale has been set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. The Nittany Lions’ annual White Out game will be held on Friday and Senior Day has been pushed up to Saturday’s contest.
