Dvon J-Thomas Signs Three-Year Deal With Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Former Penn State Football defensive tackle Dvon J-Thomas has inked a three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

J-Thomas will join a defensive line anchored by Pro Bowl defensive tackle Vita Vea, adding depth to the unit. He will also join former Penn State wide receiver Chris Godwin, who signed a $66 million contract with the Bucs this past March.

The Nittany Lion was a mainstay at Penn State, appearing in 58 career games. He wrapped up his collegiate career with 94 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery during his time in Happy Valley.

J-Thomas capped off his college career on a high note, starting all 16 games for former defensive coordinator Tom Allen’s defensive line.

In his final season, J-Thomas recorded 35 tackles, four tackles for loss, and an assisted sack. His steady production earned him All-Big Ten honorable mention recognition from the media.

J-Thomas becomes the fifth Nittany Lion to sign with an NFL team after going undrafted this year.
