Penn State Baseball Pitcher Connor Throneberry Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State baseball pitcher Connor Throneberry announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday via his personal X account.

The graduate student from St. Louis played for the Nittany Lions for the past four seasons. In his four-year career, Throneberry appeared in 34 games as a reliever for Penn State in the last three seasons, as he did not appear in a game during his freshman campaign. He will have one year of eligibility remaining and has become the seventh Nittany Lion to enter the transfer portal.

Penn State baseball’s season came to an end last Saturday as they lost to Nebraska in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament and did not have the resume to clinch an at-large bid for the NCAA Tournament. Despite this, the Nittany Lions head into the offseason with a bright future, having made the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history and having had their most wins in a single season since 2000.
