Former Penn State Football Analyst Frank Leonard Joins Nichols College As A Senior Offensive Assistant

Former Penn State football analyst Frank Leonard has joined Nichols College as a senior offensive assistant and Offensive Line/Tight Ends coach, according to the school’s staff directory.

Leonard joined the Bison after a three-year stint with the Nittany Lions as an associate offensive line coach and analyst. Before arriving in Happy Valley, Leonard worked with Colorado State as a senior analyst, Boston College as an assistant head coach, and Temple as the tight ends coach.

The Nittany Lion also spent time in the NFL working with the New England Patriots from 2004 to 2006 and then with the St. Louis Rams from 2009 to 2011.

His career began, though, in the NCAA in 1987 as an outside linebackers coach at Western Connecticut State, before he made stops at Richmond and UConn on his way to the NFL.

In March, Leonard had retired from coaching, per a school sports person, but decided to take the job at Nichols to be closer to his family.
