Penn State Wrestling To Visit Wyoming December 13

Penn State wrestling’s non-conference schedule continues to take shape.

A week after it was revealed that the Nittany Lions would host one Big 12 program, Oklahoma, in November, it was revealed Penn State would travel to Laramie, Wyoming, to meet another Big 12 opponent in a rematch of last year’s dual with Wyoming.

Penn State dominated Wyoming in last year’s dual at the Bryce Jordan Center, shutting them out with a 54-0 victory. It was Penn State’s largest win since its 55-0 shutout of Edinboro to end the 2023-24 season. Prior to that, the two programs had never met in wrestling.

Despite their rough showing against the Nittany Lions last season, Wyoming went 12-6 last year in dual meets and placed 10th in the Big 12 Championships before finishing 22nd at the NCAA Championships, with their 197-pounder, Joey Novak, placing fifth.

Penn State wrestling’s full schedule will continue to be announced over the coming weeks, as it looks to claim a 13th national championship in the last 15 seasons.
