Penn State Women’s Volleyball’s Izzy Starck Earns AVCA All-First Serve Team Honors

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) named Penn State women’s volleyball player Izzy Starck as setter for the AVCA All-First Serve team on Wednesday.

The announcement comes days after her 91 assists performance across the Nittany Lions’ last two notable matchups and wins over No. 12 Creighton and No. 14 Kansas. As a setter in both those matchups, the sophomore also recorded two kills.

The 2024 AVCA National Freshman of the Year is anticipated to, once again, lead this Penn State team to success as the 2025 season begins to unfold.

The Nittany Lions will return to play this Sunday against Arizona State at the State Farm Women’s College Volleyball Showcase in Pittsburgh at 5 p.m. The match can also be streamed on FOX.
